Communicating the Brand
Illustrations

Table of contents

Graffiti-type illustrations have been designed as a graphic medium that allows communication to be personalized. They help reinforce Canada’s image as an inspiring destination and showcase a particular aspect or characteristic of education in Canada. Finally, illustrations act as an expression of the notebook metaphor where students give free rein to their own interpretation of the message.

Usage based on expression of context

Various illustrations may be used depending on the communications context. They must add meaning to the message based on the communication objectives of each tool. Illustrations are an integral part of the brand’s visual identity and must therefore be used on all promotional documents. However, they need not be applied to every page of a multipage document.
